  • Location: World Heritage listed Nightcap and Wollumbin National Parks
  • Pick-up: 9.00am  (NSW not QLD time) Central pick-up from the Byron Bay Visitor Information Centre, 80 Jonson Street, Byron Bay or your accommodation if previously arranged.
  • Schedule: Any day of the week with a minimum of 4 people

    Mountain Biking - The pace of this 6.5 hour tour is group dependent; we ride for about 3 hours, covering between 12 and 25 kms, and return to Byron Bay by 3:30pm ready to be collected by Byron Bay Adventure Tours for the next stage of your adventure.
    Hiking – a 4 hour self guided round trip the following morning (after the overnight camp) – then you are dropped back in Byron Bay at 9:30am.
  • Group size: Minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 (or 15 with prior discussion)
  • Skill level: All levels; all you need is average fitness and a sense of adventure!

Experience the adrenaline rush of mountain biking around the beautiful heritage listed Nightcap National Park with Mountain Bike Tours - Byron Bay.  

Then enjoy an overnight camp at the base of Mount Warning with Byron Bay Adventure Tours and challenge yourself with a sunrise hike up this iconic mountain to be the first in Australia to welcome in the early rays of the new day.  

Around 9:00am Mountain Bike Tours will greet you at your accommodation and drive you up to Minyon Falls where the adventure begins. Scenic fire roads, stunning single track and exhilarating downhill’s await you on your ride around the Nightcap National Park. Sightseeing and thrills will leave you eager for the swim and a picnic lunch at the crest of this famous waterfall. Then it’s back to Byron to freshen up before continuing on to Mount Warning with Byron Bay Adventure Tours.  

To recharge the body after the days excitement and to prepare yourself for the pre-dawn ascent of Mount Warning, just lie back and relax in the stunning sub-tropical rainforest or enjoy a refreshing swim in a rock pool, whilst you are prepared a traditional Aussie BBQ dinner. Finish your day sitting around a campfire, toast marshmallows and rave about the day with your new friends.   

Spend the night in a tent under the stars and rise before dawn, munch down a delicious breakfast and head off on your four-hour self-guided hike. Enjoying 360-degree views of the hinterland and the vast Pacific Ocean as well as being one of the first in Australia to see in the new day – it never fails to inspire!   

Get dropped back to beautiful Byron by 9.30am having got the jump on the slumbering masses, exhilarated and ready for the next adventure.

We suggest bringing a small backpack to carry all your personal items.
(Whilst Mountain Biking - this can stay in our vehicle you do not need to ride with it):

  • Cool and comfortable riding clothes
  • Something warm for the cooler nights
  • Raincoat (as the weather can be unpredictable)
  • Something to sleep in (clothes)
  • Closed-toe shoes (sneakers/trainers are fine)
  • Camera (to capture the amazing memories)
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Alarm clock and/or mobile phone
  • Bathers/swimmers and towel (for the water hole/ rock pool swims)
  • Change of clothes if the weather is wet
  • Your adventurous spirit and sense of fun

While we always endeavour to take you on your preferred date, if we don't reach the required minimum numbers we reserve the right to call you to reschedule, or where another date is not possible, refund your booking in full.


Fitness level required: 

All levels, all you need is your sense of adventure and enjoy. 

Distance 12 to 25kms (group dependent) with a few steep inclines and descents. Suitable for beginners to advanced.


Weather conditions: 

This activity will normally operate in all but exceptional weather conditions, that's part of the fun!! Conditions such as fog, mist, drizzle, showers, rain, sleet and windy conditions do not affect normal operation of our activities. However, we will not go if the weather forecast predicts gale force winds, hail or severe storms, as your safety is our priority.

* No refunds for those sent off or cancellation of tour(s) for reasons involving personal conduct.
* Cancellation less than 24 hours prior to departure date and time or no-show: 100% of the total amount (no refund).
* Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to departure date and time: 25% of the total amount (75% refund).
* Cancellation more than 48 hours prior to departure date and time: 15% of the total amount (administration fee).

We reserve the right to cancel tours, vary itineraries, amend fares and days of operation. A full refund is made payable under those circumstances or if the tour is rescheduled.
